DMCA Policy
ESPN respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our readers and contributors to do the same.
Reporting infringement
If you believe content on this site infringes your copyright, send a written notice to contact us with the subject line "DMCA Notice". Include your contact details, a description of the copyrighted work, the exact URL of the material, a statement of good-faith belief, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate, and your physical or electronic signature.
What happens next
We review complete notices within two business days. If the claim is valid, we remove or disable access to the material and notify the contributor. Incomplete notices are returned with a list of what is missing.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe the removal was a mistake, send a counter-notice to the same address. Include the removed URL, your contact details, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed in error, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. We may restore the content after ten business days unless the original complainant files a court action.
Repeat infringers
Accounts or contributors who receive repeated valid notices may be suspended. We keep a record of notices and removals for compliance purposes.
Images and quotes
Our articles use original photography and licensed or generated imagery. Short quotations from other publications are used for commentary and are credited. If you believe a credit is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
